Uzbekistan - Belarus. Before the match

The national team is preparing for a friendly match against Uzbekistan.

Arriving in Dubai late evening of February 19, the “white-winged” actively worked on the camp in order to approach the game in maximum readiness. All 18 football players who arrived in the United Arab Emirates are training in a common group.

Today, our team held a theoretical lesson and pre-match training.

The upcoming match will be the third in the history between the national teams of Belarus and Uzbekistan. The teams first met in February 2001 at an international friendly tournament in Bulgaria. In the match of national teams, which took place in the city of Varna at the Grand Hotel stadium, Uzbekistan turned out to be stronger 2: 0. Two years later, at the beginning of April 2003, the teams met again in a friendly match at the Dynamo Minsk Stadium. In the first time Belarus led 2-0, however, in the second half, the opponent managed to restore the balance 2: 2. Dmitry Rovneiko, who is now part of the coaching staff of Mikhail Marhel, played in this match as a part of Belarus national team.

Tomorrow, Maxim Shvetsov, Sergey Karpovich, Sergey Volkov and Dmitry Podrelov can hold their debut match for national team.

The upcoming match between Uzbekistan and Belarus will be held in Sharjah at the Al-Hamriya stadium and will begin at 16.00 Belarusian time. The broadcast of the match will be available on the official ABFF channel on youtube.
