Mikhail Markhel: «It is not Montenegro that beat us, but more us who lost»

The head coach of the national team of Belarus summed up the results of the match against Montenegro. 

- It's hard to talk straight after such a game. It will be necessary to analyze, we will have time for this. First impression: the game did not work out for us. Neither in terms of the result, nor in terms of the quality of the game.

- In the first half, the team was not ready to fight, lost in almost all components. Why is that?

- I can not agree. I repeat, it is hard for me to say why this happened straight after the match. It is necessary to carefully analyze this situation and do everything possible so that this does not happen again. We can prepare better and we can play better. Why we failed to demonstrate it - it's hard for me to say.

- Were you surprised by the activity of the Montenegro players in the first half?

- We were ready for such a game in Montenegro. Perhaps I would say this: It is not Montenegro that beat us, but more us who lost.

- Nekhaichik with Laptev created scoring chances. Will you use them more?

- We keep on eye on everyone. We will look very carefully. Before the next training camp, we have a certain period of time. We will carefully observe what will be the reviews in the clubs. Accordingly, we will determine the players, and call up or not call up.

- In the game, the team looked worse than in the match with Germany. Can you imagine the reaction of fans in Belarus after this game?

- I can imagine. We wanted to end the season on a major note. Unfortunately, it didn’t work out. I would not like to blame someone specifically. It is necessary for me to analyze my work.
